In these days of rising house prices, it is becoming increasingly difficult for some people, particularly those with lower incomes, to gain a foothold in the home ownership market.  Shared ownership is designed to help these people overcome this difficulty.

By reducing the monthly costs we may be able, through shared ownership, to help you with that all-important first step on the "property ladder".

The scheme is also very flexible.  For instance, if your financial situation improves, say through promotion or a pay increase, you can increase your share or even buy the property outright.  If on the other hand you wish to move on, you can sell your share on the open market - we will even assist you if we can in finding a new buyer.

There is however, no pressure or requirement for you to take either of the above steps and you may remain a sharing owner, with your original level of ownership, for as long as you wish.

Click here for further information on what being a sharing owner is all about.  You will also find details of where we are currently building shared ownership housing in our New Developments section.
