Location details:
The site is located just past the eastern end of the Perth bridge, on the road heading from Perth towards Scone. (Between Kwik Fit and the Strathmore Bar)
Demolition work on a derelict warehouse and bakery started at the end of 2002 in order to clear the site.

Description/Special Features:
A total of 16 properties are being built on this prominent gap site. 2 houses will be built on the site formerly occupied by the Proudfoot bakery and six flats will be built alongside. A further 8 flats will be developed in the courtyard behind. A small car parking area will be provided. The development includes 4 ground floor flats that will be suitable for people with mobility problems.
The development is part of the Larach initiative in which 6 top housing associations in Scotland are working to bring improvements to design and construction.
Update: May 2005. Work finally starts on site and is expected to continue for about 8 months.
Update - July 2005: Work is temporarily suspended due to technical difficulties on site.
November 2005: The technical difficulties are resolved and work resumes on site.
July 2006: Work continues and the new properties are due to be completed by early Autumn.
