| The
yearly rent that tenants are due to pay is split into 48 weekly
amounts. This effectively means that there are 4 weeks of
the year when no rent is due. Two of these "rent free
weeks" are at Christmas and the other two are during summer.
Tenants
are encouraged to keep up to date with their rent payments - but
if they do fall behind they can continue paying in these rent free
weeks to clear any arrears.
We aim
to provide a rent payment method to suit everyone. For this
reason we have signed up to Allpay.net
All tenants are provided with a swipe card that can be used to make
payment in a number of locations - anywhere in the UK! These
include the Post Office, PAYzone outlets (mainly larger shops /
supermarkets) and PayPoint outlets typically found in local corner
shop and service stations.
Allpay.net
also allows rent payments to be made over the telephone (0870 2436040)
or via the Internet (Allpay.net)
for those who prefer.
We also
allow tenants to pay rent at our office and by Direct Debit (but
only by monthly payments one month in advance.)
Sharing
owners are generally expected to make monthly payments by Direct
Debit.
