What we do

Our main activity is building and managing homes for  people in need.  We aim to assist single persons, couples and families. Increasingly we are providing homes for those with specific needs to enable them to live independently in society.   In pursuing our ambitions we work in partnership with a wide range of agencies and support providers.

We now own and manage over 1600 homes for rent and shared ownership in many parts of Perth and Kinross, including Perth, its surrounding area and nearby villages, and the largely rural Highland and Eastern Perthshire.

We are also involved in both urban and rural regeneration projects.  We instigate and support initiatives that promote the creation of safe, attractive neighbourhoods and enable individuals and communities to maximise their potential.  We are continually developing our varied programme of Wider Role projects in response to identified needs and in line with local and national priorities.

We are committed to promoting sustainable construction and improved thermal efficiency as a means of combating fuel poverty, reducing the harmful emission of greenhouse gases and minimising the impact of our activities on the environment in general.

The Association is managing agent for Perthshire Care and Repair .  This service offers free and confidential information and advice for older people and people with a disability who are homeowners or private tenants, to enable them to improve, repair or adapt their homes and stay comfortably in their community.
